Regular Sanitary pads are made of recyclables and trash. They use a 6 part dye process to go from dark to light. The ingredients in the pads are toxic. Also, Dr. Desai states “While organic pads are made of 100% organic cotton, the [regular sanitary pads] are a mix of plastic, cotton and a few other elements. This makes the organic ones more hygienic and comfortable to use."
